DE LA VELA BEACH

The beach of La Vela is located on the south side of the bay of Portonovo, after the Church of Santa Maria of Portonovo.

Its name derives from the great sail-shaped rock that characterizes it and makes it a favorite destination for brave divers. It is said that it is not done; a true inhabitant of this area if you do not; dive at least once from the Sail, but if you also want to try, do it very carefully & hellip; is not serious; a breeze, it slips easily.

The sea, with its unmistakable turquoise and cobalt blue colors, presents a backdrop of pebbles and rocks; a good place for snorkelling and small dives. The beach, a characteristic stretch of the Conero Riviera, is a must; divided into two bays, both without any kind of structure and service: the first, wide, characterized by large stones and the second, very small, with more gravel; end, once a favorite destination for naturists.
